All members of the UO community may use the NMR and EPR spectrometers after training by the NMR Lab personnel provided they have attended the EH&S Laboratory Safety Training and have an index for recharge. Our training sessions cover only what is needed to efficiently use the current equipment, and its associated software (we do not cover NMR theory). We ask that you take training shortly before using a certain instrument.

You may re-take training as many times as you would like. It is important you feel confident using the instruments. We recommend that you sign up for NMR training when you are about ready to use NMR (e.g., within a few days). It does not help if you take the training and then do not remember the materials weeks or months later.

If you are a non-UO user (e.g., OSU, OHSU, government, industry, etc), please contact the facility director for access to the facility.
